Web/PHP developer required

April 3rd 2014

Can you write good php code?
Are you anywhere near Carrick on Shannon?

Due to continued growth we have more work than we can handle.
As a result we need somebody to come on board and help us out.

Why work for us:
  • you don't always need to work here at our offices. Initially you will need to be here in our nice new offices but once you know the ropes you can work from wherever you like.
  • you will be fully involved in projects and be able to work on your own a lot of the time. Help from another programmer is always close by too - you will learn new stuff and learn all sides of a web development business.
  • we don't just do client websites - you will get to work on new stuff and be as entrepreneurial as you wish - our team has also worked on internal projects such as and more recently
What you need:
  • you need to know php pretty well and you will be tested a little so no faking it on the old cv please.
  • you should have a good understanding of databases (99% mysql) and LAMP
  • At least 1 year of experience - if you don't have this you will need to show some projects or other work you have done.
  • knowledge of stuff like (and here comes some random things) css, Jquery, JSON, cPanel, xml, Github, Magento, CMS Systems - if you are about to Google some of these, you may not be the best fit!
Other stuff that would be good to have:
  • your own transport (not essential but where we are located might mean something more than pedal power)
  • be able to scope requirements for projects and help in replying to tenders
  • your own development environment (especially if you want to work from home)
We could write more but why bother - send us a mail with your cv if you think you might be suitable. Even if you think you are only half suitable send us a mail and will tell you if you are or not.

Hourly rate will depend on experience/ability and option to work part-time also to be considered.
